President Christine Farquhar welcomed 33 members and 2 guests (who have become our newest members) to our September meeting. Biddy, Sarah and Jo were thanked for organising the refreshments; as was Molly for the plant on the President’s table and Diane and Cynthia for running the raffle. The record of the last meeting in July was approved and signed.

At the end of the business Christine rang the bell and we had a practice fire drill.
Back in the Lads’ Club we enjoyed coffee/tea and cake a good catch up with friends old and new.
We then settled down to a fun general quiz led by Sue C, Carol K and Julie from the Garden Group
They had prepared names for each team and after a tense and nail-biting contest it came down to a tie break between the Sultry Snapdragons and the Gorgeous Gladioli with the latter team being declared the winners.
