Lunch Club

Maggie R and Julia C have very kindly volunteered to re start the Lunch club for members.

The date of the first lunch was Wednesday 23rd November at 12.30.
Venue – the Sunshine Turkish Restaurant. 10 members attended this very enjoyable occasion

15 members attended the second lunch was held on Wednesday 15 February at the Butt of Sherry In Hythe at 12.30pm.

On Thursday 20 April 17 members attended the lunch at Sotirios in Folkestone.

The next lunch will be held on Thursday 20 June 12.30 for 1pm at the Gatekeeper Etchinghill.

Tomato bruschetta topped with mozzarella & basil pesto (V)
Breaded whitebait with devilled mayo
Prawn cocktail with brown bread & butter
Chicken liver paté with melba toast & pickled cornichons
Mains
Battered Cod and Chips with tartar sauce, minted pea purée, lemon
Creamy mushroom risotto topped with vegetarian parmesan (V)
Chicken supreme served with a creamy cider & mushroom sauce,
garlic & rosemary sautéed potatoes and buttered greens
Slow roasted cider pork belly with potato Anna, baked leeks,
apple & thyme jam, cider velouté sauce
Desserts
Triple chocolate brownie (V) with vanilla ice cream
Cheesecake of the day (V) with fresh berries & cream
Passionfruit posset (V) served with shortbread
Rum glazed pineapple £8 (vegan) with coconut sorbet and raspberries
