Hythe Morning have sent us all an invitation to a ‘Watch Party’ to be held in the Tin Tabernacle in Hythe on 4 June for the NFWI AGM – sign up asap with Biddy £5 per person.

Carol spoke about the new garden group – details of their first meeting and outing can be seen here.

Biddy gave further details of her Bluebell woods coffee morning, click here for more details.

For this year’s Summer outing in June members voted to visit Bilsington Priory for a tour followed by tea and scones – more details here.

Straight after the business part of the meeting we welcomed Josie Chisholm who ran her workshop for us all to make felt brooches.

Josie started by demonstrating how to assemble to blocks of wool, then wet roll them to make the felt for the flower brooches

Coffee and cakes were consumed while we assembled the wool strands and then rolled them for 20 minutes.

After much wet rolling the felt was ready and we then cut out and sewed together our flowers.

Kate Dilks gave the vote of thanks to Josie – for a very enjoyable morning
